Meet Rebecca Aldernet.
Rebecca, a seasoned professional with a successful commercial art career in marketing, art direction, and entrepreneurship that has transitioned into a full-time artist, capturing the poetry of daily life in Atlantic Canada. Her vibrant canvases reveal the intimate connection between humanity and the rhythmic tides, where each brushstroke breathes life into ordinary moments. Through her work, Rebecca celebrates the bonds that unite us, using colour to convey the emotional resonance of the region and the artistry hidden within the mundane.
OUR ATELIER
An atelier is a classical studio model rooted in art history, where an artist leads a collective of skilled artists in the creation of a cohesive body of work. Each piece is guided by a singular vision while benefiting from a collaborative process.
We’re deeply proud to have created a space where artists can come together, do what they love, and build a real living from it. It is Rebecca’s greatest passion to support artists of all kinds — from painters to woodworkers to graphic designers — and to create opportunities that allow creativity to thrive.
People sometimes ask why we run sales or offer our work at accessible prices. The answer is simple: art should live in people’s homes, not just behind gallery walls.
Historically, many of the world’s most recognized artists worked within atelier systems alongside apprentices and students. Even Picasso produced work in volume so his art could reach more people. Andy Warhol, MichealAngelo, and many contemporary artists today.
That philosophy continues to inspire how we work today.
Our studio operates as an active atelier — a working community of artists learning, experimenting, and creating together.
Here’s what that means in practice:
• Accessibility for collectors – Real, original art without traditional gallery markups.
• Supporting artists – A growing collective of over 60 artists working, earning, and creating together.
• Fair income for creators – Many artists in our studio are able to earn up to $10,000 per month, something rarely seen in traditional gallery systems.
• Creative freedom – No gatekeepers dictating subject, size, or style. We create what we believe in.
• Sustainable art making – Sales directly fund materials, studio growth, and continued opportunities for artists.
In many traditional gallery systems, artists often earn $30,000–$70,000 annually while navigating layers of approval and restriction. Our model is intentionally different.
For us, this is not just about selling paintings.
It’s about building a space where artists can thrive, grow, and create freely — and where collectors can live with meaningful, original work.
Rebecca Aldernet designs every painting. The work is her vision — her compositions, her direction.
Each piece is brought to life within her atelier, where a collective of artists work under her guidance to execute her vision with the highest standards. This time-honored model allows for both scale and refinement, while maintaining a singular artistic vision.
Art should be alive, accessible, and shared.
